Bundle of Joy
is a very brightly stitched piece. When Reece first showed me the photographs on linen, this was the print that appealed to me the most. I love the bright, hot colours of India and used fabrics purchased in India for the work using a machine appliqué technique.
At the very last minute I thought that I could name the work Bundle of Joy,
which seemed to be appropriate as the whole embroidery was a bundle of joy to stitch and that little child looks like someone's, Bundle of Joy!
